DANTON LOGISTICS COMPLETES CHALLENGING BREAK BULK SHIPMENT FROM SHANGHAI TO ZEEBRUGGE

Danton Logistics, member of Airfreight Logistics Network for Africa, representing China, successfully managed the transportation of ten oversized Gear Boxes from Shanghai to Zeebrugge, Europe. Each unit measured 380 cm x 320 cm x 292 cm and weighed an impressive 37,100 kg, with a total shipment weight of 371,000 kg.

This shipment was particularly challenging due to the oversized nature of the cargo, the tight delivery timeline, and the coordination required to meet the sailing schedule.

The transport solution involved loading the cargo onto MAFI trailers and utilizing RORO shipping.

The journey spanned 1,200 km from the factory in Tianjin to the RORO terminal in Shanghai, traversing five provinces and municipalities—Tianjin, Hebei, Shandong, Jiangsu, and Shanghai.

Thanks to the unwavering support of the shipper and the tireless efforts of the Danton Logistics team, all route surveys and over-dimensional permits were successfully arranged within just three working days. This enabled the safe transport of the cargo to Shanghai Haitong Terminal, ensuring it was ready for shipment as planned.

An additional seven Gear Boxes from this project are scheduled for shipment before the Chinese New Year.

Despite the challenges posed by reduced vehicle availability and complicated traffic conditions during the Spring Festival, Danton Logistics remains confident in overcoming these hurdles. As one of their overseas partners remarked, “When it comes to logistics in China, you can always trust Danton Logistics.”
